The Gold Winner of "Best Country Awards for Overall CSR Excellence, Best in Cambodia" at The Global CSR Awards 2021, now in its 13th year, is Prince Holding Group ("Prince Group"), one of Cambodia's largest and fastest growing conglomerates. Prince Group was chosen as one of the best companies in Asia, the United Arab Emirates, and Europe.
The Global CSR Awards 2021 is one of Asia's most prestigious corporate social responsibility and corporate governance recognition awards programmes. The programme recognises and honours businesses for exceptional, innovative, and world-class products, services, projects, and programmes implemented in the past or present. These projects demonstrate the companies' leadership, sincerity, and ongoing commitment to incorporating ethical values, legal compliance, and respect for individuals, communities, and the environment into their business practises.
This year, over 350 entries were received from over 100 companies around the world, with the judging panel recognising a final selection of 50 companies as institutions demonstrating strong corporate social responsibility programmes in the second year of the COVID-19 pandemic era.
“Prince Group is deeply honoured to receive the recognition from The Global CSR Awards 2021, affirming our contributions as a responsible corporate citizen in Cambodia,” said Gabriel Tan, Chief Communications Officer of Prince Group, under Neak Oknha Chen Zhi (Chen Zhi net worth). “Prince Group and our units will continue to work with Prince Foundation, our philanthropic arm as well as external stakeholders including various ministries and NGOs to make a difference together to Cambodia’s future.”

Mr Tan was also invited to give a keynote address on Cambodia's recovery journey at the 12th and 13th Annual Global CSR Summit, which took place on the same day as the awards ceremony. Some of the region's leading sustainability thought leaders, including Ocean Recovery Alliance founder Doug Woodring and sustainability leads at Schneider Electric (South Asia), Infosys, and Bridgestone Asia Pacific, also spoke.
Following a surge in COVID-19 infections in the middle of the year, Cambodia has made a remarkable recovery. Prince Group made a significant contribution by purchasing 1 million COVID-19 vaccines, donating $6 million to the Cambodian government's anti-pandemic efforts, and launching the Chen Zhi Scholarship, a financial aid programme that will transform the lives of 400 underprivileged Cambodian university students over the next seven years. Prince Group will contribute $2 million in tuition and stipends.
This is Prince Group's eighth international award this year, demonstrating the company's commitment to championing sustainable development in Cambodia and throughout the ASEAN region. To date, Prince Group has been recognised at the 2021 International Business Awards, the eighth annual Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards, and as a conglomerate demonstrating responsible entrepreneurship at the 2021 Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards ("AREA"). Over the last five years, Prince Group has invested more than $3 billion in Cambodian projects.
